Overview

Michael Fralin is a Senior Associate in K&F’s Commercial Real Estate Lending Group. Michael focuses his practice on commercial real estate finance and has extensive experience representing investment banks, commercial banks, insurance companies, REITs and specialty finance companies in connection with the origination of commercial mortgage loans, mezzanine loans and related capital markets products, as well as the purchase and sale of properties and loans in individual and pool transactions. He also represents lenders and borrowers in connection with loan workouts and restructurings.

Michael also has an extensive business background and has been personally involved in various real estate and other business ventures in the past and has hired other professionals in connection with those transactions.  In light of that experience, Michael understands the importance of partnering with his clients and makes every effort to treat his clients the way he expected to be treated when he was on the client side. His business experience also offers him a comprehensive and real perspective on the legal issues facing real estate owners and lenders.

Prior to joining K&F, Michael worked at several prominent New York law firms as well as a global real estate investment bank and a commercial real estate investment and development platform. He received his B.A. in Political Science and History from the LSA Honors College at the University of Michigan and his J.D. from Boston College Law School.
